For about two years, I have been working out under Mike and Laura Starkweather. During that time, my body fat has been lowered, I have built more muscle, and have grown in size, as a result of their assistance. What I really like about Michael's training is his motivational talks and always pushing me until I am successfully finished with a workout. I also enjoy Laura's constant push to always make me succeed, as well as all of her nutritional advice. Together, these two personal trainers have been extremely helpful to me and my fitness goals!

Being a mom of four year old twins it can be easy to make excuses. Laura has been my trainer for more than a year and she has instilled in me that if I don't take care of myself then my kids won't get the mom they deserve. She teaches her clients not only the importance of a balanced diet and exercise but gives emotional support to achieve their personal goals. Now I can laugh and play with my kids instead of being out of breath. I see Laura twice a week and her positive nature is my inspiration to move forward so I can finally grasp the me I've always wanted to be.

I first came to Laura as a 36 year old novice triathlete who had got into the sport as a way to get into shape. I had completed a few races but my results had already begun to plateau. Laura convinced me that a fully rounded weight training routine coupled with her nutritional expertise would help me to exceed beyond all of my past results. After a short time of working with Laura I was thrilled to see huge improvements in my endurance, strength, and flexibility! I began to see tremendous improvements in my race results and as a nice plus, a tremendous improvement in my physique! With all of my new energy and strength I had the confidence to attempt a lifelong goal: to finish a full Ironman! For those that are unfamiliar, the Ironman in a extreme endurance race consisting of a 2.4 Mile swim, 112 Mile Bike Ride, followed by a full marathon (26.2 miles)! Laura helped me to identify all of my strengths and weaknesses and she put together an amazing training program that fit perfectly into my lifestyle. Her positive support and focus on my goals assisted me to be int he best physical shape of my life! On November 23, 2008 at the age of 38 I Finished Ironman Arizona in a little over 13 hours! This was a 2 Hour improvement over the initial goal I had set for myself! Thanks to Laura I had the physical strength, endurance and nutritional balance to finish strong!
