Most Effective Exercises for Children and Young Adults

  • The Scorpions Exercise helps increase the range of motion in the shoulders, chest , hips and core. This is extremely beneficial and helps to avoid injuries to any young athlete that participates in a sport with rotational movement.

  • Incorporating lunges into a workout program strengthens the lower body including the hips, glutes and quads. This exercise helps to burn calories, improve sprinting speed and other sport specific movements.

  • The Back Squat Exercise burns calories while developing strength and power throughout the lower body. This is a great exercise designed to increase their vertical leaping ability and other movements.

  • The Landmines Exercise is a rotational core exercise that builds core strengths. The heart rate is elevated, calories are burned and several muscle groups are developed including the legs and shoulders.

Benefits of Youth Training

Youth training is important as it can increase your child’s muscle strength and endurance. Learning the correct form at a young age is beneficial because the majority of the younger population are involved in some sort of athletic sport. Becoming a youth athlete while also attending youth personal training classes will protect your child from sports-related injuries. Your child is more likely to perform correct workouts that not only increase muscular strength but may enhance motor fitness skills such as sprinting, endurance, balance and agility, as well as overall sports performance.

Another benefit to youth personal training is setting them up for a life filled with leadership skills. Your child will develop leadership skills by being able to manage their time, work as a team player, provide others with education over correct form, goal setting, jumpstart conversations, and become a role model.
